So i am gonna buy another MAF, the last one i bought lasted 2 weeks. Is there a specific sequence i should be doing to install it? As in completely disconnect to battery to allow computer to reset, then install and reconnect both pos and neg of battery?
2nd question - would i be better maybe buying an aftermarket air intake instead of buying another MAF?

I'd look in to why your last one failed after only 2 weeks. Do you have an aftermarket air filter that may be throwing a bunch of oil in to it?

I dont, i have a regular air filter on the truck. I was thinking that maybe i did do the process properly with the computer, or if there is something that causes them to quit. Also does anyone know where i am supposed to have the metal rod end of that little fan thing in the intake tube?

There is a fan in the intake tube, i assume its for airflow. I am beginning to wonder if the metal shaft on it is hitting the sensor and f$#@ing it up.

Oh... sounds like it may have one of those gimmick ebay junk intake fan deals. Can you get a pic of it? You may be right, it may be causing your problem. If that's what it is, I"d take it out.
