About to drop in a set of pads on rear brakes, noticed that the boots on the air shocks (Z55) have both torn. Looked at multiple diagrams, thought I had a part number but turned out was for front boot on the struts.

Anybody have a part number for this boot / dust cover? Or maybe perhaps a pn for an 'accordion' type of shock cover that fits? Both still work / hold air / compressor only runs when supposed to.

Incidentally, found a pair of Z55 shocks, AC Delco, for my Yukon off Amazon Warehouse. $100 ea with Prime. Snapped up that one.

SWEET!

Also, Brembo brakes have been acquired / sold by NAPA. Store Manager says not available ATM as packaging is being developed and there WILL be support for (at least) the 2012 Yukon. Hence the reason why just dropping in a set of pads for time being. Rotors are just a few thou of being under spec.

My factory rear air shocks on both of my Yukons don't have boots on them. Never did even before I replaced them. Are you sure that yours are factory stock?

Compressor runs when turn key for a few seconds. It will run for longer if situation calls. Ran for 20sec or so last night when filled up. Went from 25miles left to 490miles left.
My Yukon sits level, makes adjustments when add in bunch of weight in back (pressure washer, 5gal fuel can, table saw, sockets, groceries, personal gear) when I go and work on beach house. Can't say I have heard it relieve pressure though.

This is what I am looking at. Pics taken when had brakes inspected (upgrading to LEO or Brembo) and mechanic pointed out 'boots' being torn.
No dash lights or warnings other than parking sensors.

Wow. Those are the bags and they’re blown. I say there’s no way those are holding air. You can do a test by starting the truck and after the compressor runs and shuts off, remove one of those air lines and listen for a lot of air coming out. You’ll want the weight of the truck on the tires so use a set of ramps to drive the rear up on if you can’t lay under it and reach it. You can also remove a wheel and put a jack under the axle on one side so the weight of the truck is on the jack. Removing one line will let the air out of both shocks. Those bags should be hard when they’re full of air.

Well...@#$%.
At least I was able to find those shocks on Amazon.

Any other PM I should pay attention to while changing shocks? Bumpers (frame) look heavily worn out / cracked. Will do those too.
