Funny thing is I took all my sounds out, radio, amp, and box.

Took rims off. I want the dub big ballers now anyway so no big deal bout the rims.

Gonna have to put all that crap back on this weekend.

It will be in the shop this weekend to fix the coils

Oh well
You really gonna pay that kinda dough for that work?? Call around ... "Dealer" first for an accurate "High base line" and then see if you can do better??

Then once again, I ask you: WHAT spec do you suggest he torque the bolts to? In other words, how many inch/pounds would you suggest he set the torque wrench to? I mean, he can't just attach the torque wrench to his socket and tighten it without first setting a torque! Like I said, GM does not have a spec (torque setting) for those bolts so you would just take a guess? How is that any different than using your best judgment as to when a bolt is tight ? LOL.

The damn thing started sputtering and engine light flickered a few times as well. I called around. Think Im gonna try a shop around the corner I can walk to from my complex. We will see.

I called another shop they right off the bat said 800.

Im gonna attempt to do it myself if I cant find a better price.

Before you buy the coils, I'd suggest you pull the plastic engine cover off the driver side and take a picture of one of the coils so you can match it up with a new one. According to www.rockauto.com there's a couple different ones. Look for a part number on the coil and also refer to the picture for identification. It would be nice if you could find out which one(s) are bad but you can change all of them. Looks like worst case is $45 each.

Thats the first thing the shop asked if theyre round or square. I got kind of got nervous last night from the flickering. Thought I was gonna be stranded cuz the engine light came on but the sputtering stopped.

Me to man. Love that thing. Kind of disappointed in the mechanic thats been doing the work. Hes a older guy so felt he could but trusted. Experiences like this make you feel untrusting of people.

Who can you trust man? Ntb told me 890.

Need to find a mechanic thats straight up no ********. Sad part is my boss thinks the old guy is legit

I found with mechanics that as soon as they think they have your trust they try to screw you. I was going to a guy for a couple years and then he tried to rip me off so I went to another shop and got it done for half price. Then a year later after going to them 2-3 times they tried to rip me off too. Now I just try to do it all myself as much as possible.

LOL ... there you go!

And you could "ask" them if they guarantee there work?? The shop we found .. forced to go there ask we needed work on the exhuast on the "PT" long story but bottom line Chrysler only sells the whole converter ...$1700!! The part that failed ... well I overheated and destroyed was a $35 flex pipe ... which Chrysler does not sell!!

100 dollars to "Weld clock and install ... done deal! When we were there that's when I found out they warranty there work ... who knew?? :)
