alternator replacement feedback?

so my alternator has begun to make noise from the unit itself. figure i should go ahead and swap it out before something bad happens.

i have the 160 amp RPO KW1 unit, and the acdelco replacement is a couple hundred dollars.....

anyone try a duralast unit? particularly DL1912-6-11? or am i worrying too much and should just grab any replacement?

I'm running the Mechman 370 amp which is awesome, but it retails for about $700

Unless you need the extra power outage, I would go with the Delco replacement, but not reconditioned. JMHO and good luck.
