i found this on craigslist last night and couldnt believe it. hes selling the whole truck but he would sell me the whole front HD clip for 800 plus trade for my front clip..what do you guys think?

he also said he can trade me the HD hood and the HD grille for my grille and hood plus 400 cash. i want this soo bad but as a student i dont see how i can spare enough money to buy this...what do you guys think?

talk about your Frankenstein trucks.......$400 + your Hood is pretty steep...I'd do $100 plus your hood for the HD one and call it a day. Not like he has to worry about color matching or anything

i originally offered him 150 plus my hood but he wudnt take it..the way i see it is if he sells the truck it wont matter if it has an hd clip or not..might as well get some money back right? but he was pretty firm on it..jaja yeaa the colormatching shudnt be an issue for him

i dont see why people seem to think its worth 100x more than a regular hood..its jst the hood of a HD..but this guy seems to know alot of people want this this hood for their trucks nd SUVs..hopefully hell come down on his price

I think he's gonna have a tough time selling that truck anyways. He should of taken the first deal you offered him. Ive personally bought 2 HD hoods off CL for under $150 but never ended up installing on mine just sold them to members on here. Just keep looking and one will pop up

Unless I am wrong, the hood looks aftermarket to me. Sure it's an HD hood but not worth what he is asking.

Yea no go. Hell i would buy the whole truck for $1500 no more because its rebut and not painted. I can get it like that for under $1500 at the dealer auctions so yea id tell him that his prices is rediculous. I picked up a whole car for $300 running but wrecked

Pass, if you can't swing it as a student save your cash. Finish school, then start modding. I've been there, a student in debt for car parts and no good way to pay it off. Wouldn't do it again.
