Another Denali bites the dust

In my opinion. That’s just too damn steep in price.

I bought a 15 Yukon Denali in 2020. I know it’s a little older. But only had 50k miles for $36k. Had every option except motorized running boards and apple car play. Added OEM equipment for about $1800 now she has the running boards (OEM) and apple car play (OEM). If I recall the window sticker was like 59k brand new at the time.

But I feel your pain. You want to replace the thing ASAP
Remember, the world is reeling from Covid right now and EVERYTHING is more expensive, especially vehicles. I looked at every used 2015 to 2020 Denali posted on the internet for sale, from Virginia to California and the one I bought was less expensive that most I looked at. It was a local purchase too.

Yeah I know. After my comment I felt like “that old guy” who says I walked to school in 3 ft of snow uphill both ways lol. Times are changing fast.

35k was my budget and I still went over. I just couldn’t fathom spending 60k on my truck now. I guess I’m glad I bought it when I did

Thanks. She appears to be fine, just some bumps, bruises and soreness. CT pictures and a physician in ER cleared her and she walked back to the car. She's sore this AM.

I got nothing but praise for the 2013 Denali, from purchased new to demise. It only had 50K miles on her. No one will ever convince me that the Yukon didn't play a large part in protecting and saving her life. I have to get another vehicle as we have 2 homes, 1000 miles apart that we spends 6 months in each. The Denali was our "back-n-forth" vehicle. A newer Yukon Denali is the only choice I will make replacing it. After 10 years of retirement I just don't have $100K+ to buy a new one and I've no interest in increasing debt. I can cough up, say around $60K for a used one. There's a Local Rick Hendrick Cadillac dealership that has a 2019 "every option" AWD/4WD Frost White Tri-coat with 47K miles that they want $59.5K for. I'm heading there tomorrow AM to check it out and negotiate.

I'm in Virginia Beach and if anyone can point towards a late model Denali for $60K or less please let me know.
wait a couple of months for the sales, that 2019 will be half the cost
the car market bubble popped, 15k repos a month

I'm glad your wife is ok, that is a nasty wreck. Good luck with finding a replacement vehicle, I hope you find what you want. I know you mentioned you're looking for a later year model, but why not replace it with a low mileage 2013-2014 Escalade Platinum? It would save you at least 30K over buying a later body style one.

Exactly what I came here to say. The newer trucks are not good quality. It might be more difficult to find due to the age now, but a well sorted GMT-900 is a better truck in every way than a K2 and still many ways than a T1 and I don't care what anyone says. The T1s at least they sorted the suspension where they don't ride like a worn out 80s work truck, but they feel so cheap and the engine problems... no thanks.

Not only the engine problems, but also the fact that the ECU's are locked down so tight that doing a DFM delete mechanically is currently impossible on a T1 rig. So you're stuck with the problem for life unless someone figures out a way.

FWIW, I did get a new(er) Denali. It's an "every Option" 2019 with 44K on it. Bought it from a Rick Hendricks Cadillac dealership. We're really liking it, except the smaller Cu Ft storage area. I solved that one with an 25 CF roof mounted storage container. We use the Denali 90% for back and forth from Florida to Virginia, +/- 1000 miles. We load that puppy up!
