Spohn started shipping things again a couple weeks ago, got the uppers, lowers, and panhard bar in that I ordered back in April. Belltech 1.25" bumpstops and the Free Travel mod as you guys call it, or the Sawzall mod as I call it haha. Oh and gave the QA1s one click back down since I have a little more travel room now.

Found the "pre-freetravel" pictures I was looking for, accidentally moved them to a different album on my phone.

We're back!! Hit up the track back on the 28th and forgot to post.

Good news and bad news. Good news is the trans cooler is working great, it is an hour drive one way and I drove there raced and drove home without making a single change. And...... I almost went PAST my 60' goal with a 1.905!! Bad news is this converter is WAY too tight and I probably could have gone low 1.80s or even touched the 70s with a looser converter. I picked up .2 on the 60' and only lost 0.07 in the 1/8. (Air this night on the Dragy was ~3,800' feet compared to my previous personal best which was done at 844'), so this setup is working very, very well. I have not made any changes to the engine since I first made this thread.

I originally had mounted straps, but they just stretched too much and I knew they wouldn't work the way I would ask them to so I decided to get some chain. I lucked out on the length and didn't have to fab anything else up or make any adjustments. With the chains bolted on there is about 1/4"-3/8" preload on the struts.

After installing and dialing in all the suspension I have the truck launching with zero front end lift and the rear squats ever so slightly and then stays there without rebounding, I can feel it wanting to rip. However now that everything is set up correctly and the way it should be, the converter is just too low of an rpm to be usable, and is actually probably so tight that it's hurting instead of just being "eh, could use something different".

I tried footbraking to about 2,000, then 2,500, leaving at idle, many different rpms to see what it liked and didn't like. It just flashes too low on the launch. Even after reving in neutral and using the vacuum for extra brake pressure I can hold the gas to the floor and bring it up to converter stall at 3,400 and it's not even close to wanting to push through the brakes. Because of this, there is a dead spot when I leave, and then the power really comes in about 30'-35' out when I get up into the powerband. Similar feeling to a turbo car leaving without boost.

I spoke with a few different companies and after giving each one every bit of detail on my setup they all recommended a 9.5" 4600 stall. I'm currently on a 10" 3400 Circle D billet single disk. I have no complaints about it, and everyone is pretty much in the ballpark of eachother on price. So I'm going to pull this one and go with a 9.5" 4600 billet triple disc lockup converter also from Circle D which will give up a little bit of streetability, which I stopped caring about long ago lol, but will work much better at the track than any other option, and I'm still under $2k!!

Here's to the new quest for 1.79 60' times and a nice clean pass in not trash a$$ air in the future!!!

I also weighed it while I was there, in full trim with me it came in at 5700 on the nose. I am also only making 1/8 mile passes until I get a driveshaft made. That one full 1/4 mile pass I made and posted the data from in the first post was preettty shakey at the end, not willing to risk it.

Can that upper intake work on a stockish escalade? I got all the normal bolt ons and tune but never opened up the motor. I have always wanted to change my intake manifold but dont want to lose power.

Work as in physically fit, yes. Work as in take advantage of it and be beneficial, hard to say.

The factory manifold is a pretty great piece when comparing peak numbers, and area under the curve, to aftermarket options. I went with this one knowing it will be turbo in the future, but I could still take advantage of it and make more power than the stock one while N/A with my heads and cam.

Check out these two videos to help. I don't know exactly what you have and would hate to mislead you, or hold you back. My manifold, yes it's a FAST, is the Performance Designs Carbon R in the video.

However on stock heads, cam, and gears I would suggest keeping the factory manifold.

So last night/early this morning I took the quick 15 minute drive to the same road in Mexico I visited earlier this year. Back in May it went 13.37@105mph, 8.63@81mph with a 2.09 60' and 844'DA. That was on stock suspension, stock gears, without front straps.

Since then I've worked over the suspension, chained the front, and installed 4.11s front and rear. At the end of last month it went 8.70@80mph with a 1.905 60' but at 3712'DA.

Picking up nearly .2 to the 60' and only losing 0.07 to the 1/8 with a 2800' change in elevation had me excited to see what it would do last night now that the air was right around what it was in May. I would be able to more accurately compare how much improvement these changes made, so out I went.

The 13.37 run was back in May, the other three were last night.

To make a long story short, I need to get to the track and make a few passes to see how it likes to be launched, and see what's going on with the trans. It has a pretty good hesitation before the shift, and the shift itself feels slow. Previously, and you can see it on the 13.37@105mph G plot, it used to be nice and crisp.

However, one of my goals with this Yukon was a sub 1.90 60' on the street. I know it can go 1.70s, but I reached my goal for now. Im also really happy with the 8.54, but those shifts are killing me.

For a 5700lb N/A suv, I'm not disappointed. I'll have a different converter in it by the end of the year and that should pick up 60' and 330' enough to make the difference I need. The mph for a 12.99 or better is there, we'll see what happens.

TL : DR. Aside from 0-60, new PB's all around. Still have some work to do.

1.87 60'
4.83 0-60 (It's been 4.81)
5.52 330'
8.54@82 1/8
13.30@103 (It's been 105)

It’s this data from an app? Or a track data device?

It's a GPS logger called Dragy. Pretty cool little thing. Dead accurate at the track too. I'm an hour away from my local track, so it's nice to be able to see different ET breaks, MPH, and acceleration data without having to make the drive.
