Anyone actually use these trucks for off-roading? I'd love to hear feedback/experiences...

Here's a better angle towards where I was parked earlier. I work as a construction support coordinator on new Transmission and Distribution Right of Ways as well as new Substation locations. My job is kind of a mixed bag of functions, however my main role is to be a buffer between the landowner and contractors through all phases of construction and reclamation. I also handle any damage related claims such as issues within the ROW (encumbrances, crops, timber, etc) and do some acquisition as needed. My background was mainly in the energy sector working with oil and gas infastructure so I also help with any oil and gas related issues we may encounter in the field (oil wells, pipelines, tanks, compressors, etc. within the ROW). I usually drive all the access roads on our lines and search for issues that could turn into a future damage claim. I also help coordinate with the various contractors when they are mobilizing in and out of landowner properties and make sure that all special conditions that were negotiated with that landowner are honored.8244b13c36b899c4b4ddcaf9f79856c4.jpgeb22757a29b524c9ecacbdbcf7307675.jpg7985c38a59f1dc1e7f99aea8099643f1.jpgd5cf65cafae9b396eca5e63dbc61942f.jpgc5b512f4ec03dad587c85b7a18c62a74.jpg0e53a7527e3b62f2c5dfd7d609275127.jpg707bfaad0d1b50e5b454b918de847bf3.jpge9e5c2ee621a0134c090ee67a5c52449.jpgecdbc96030c708337fe25b0c401cce04.jpgff06310dc78fa1367f8726b5d8ce7e12.jpg45f417cd2eb428a983effa537a5aadd1.jpg2d4804dd9de2bad0eca6756744a5eeb6.jpgef95f9f1d6f1eb56222eda8c15893170.jpg

Between summer camping trips and winter survival I think I test the abilities of my Suburban pretty well... from -50F days in winter to old mining roads and creek crossings in the summer it has done well. I don't take it down narrow trails (don't want branch stripes) nor do I go to places that will push articulation limits (I have ATVs for hardcore trails) but it's never let me down. I am rarely in cell coverage on back roads and have right at 115k on it... still very pleased with my purchase over 3 years later. I'm leaving for another 750 mile round trip tomorrow... got 21.7 mpg on the last highway run.

With a good set of tires and a competent driver I don't see these having much trouble in most situations people would logically be willing to put an expensive vehicle. This winter mine is overdue for some maintenance love... hoping to add Bilstiens to level and a few other suspension upgrades and continue to enjoy the burb.

Denali National Park Road Lottery - 92 miles gravel/silt road.

Typical winter look... holds the ground well in crazy weather.

One of the roads my wife takes to work daily...

Denali Hwy with 7 passengers and camping gear... comfortable and capable.

Nick knows people in high places.
It's that $1000.00 per month Tapatalk Platinum Gold fancy membership I have lol. Actually... I'm not sure how that happened. I use Tapatalk from my phone. I kept adding photos and exiting it to field work calls. Then I'd open it back up after the call to try typing my response and add photos....

Those are awesome pictures. I'm curious how my Duratracs will do in snow... Maybe not that much snow though lol.

That's really cool. I feel like there isn't enough aftermarket stuff for our Tahoes. The last generation seemed to get a little more attention though. I don't understand why the aftermarket hasn't step up to offer additional stuff for the 2015+

Heck.. I would have like to have found aftermarket skid plates that protect everything including the gas tank.
