i bet more then anything that guy had to much clearance between the crank main's and the crank, either that or he didnt do something right, i have not had ANY issues with mine minus the REALLY cold weather piston slap thanks to the .030 over bore.

Now that I think of it I could buy a LQ4 for $1500 almost brand new with everything and for 1.5K I don't think converting a L31 350 to a 383 is worth it really, I'd rather have a beefier powerplant to begin with. So for the next year I think I'll just do mods like Cam and new intake manifold and a couple other things. Anything else you can think of DJ Tricky? What's a decent Cam and Intake Manifold (Comp Cam's/Edelbrock?) , what other things can I do that don't require me to do intense engine work and that will benefit me in HP and TQ?

HAHA

those engines are not bolt on's. Good luck. Read more thhink about posting such comments.

No need to go balls to the walls. Look @ Dale's set-up. See how much $ he pumped into his? See his results.

P.S. Dale I love you!

I got my whipple off of ebay. Keep searching...kits range from 1,200 to 1,600.

O and Maggie kits are even rarer but still POS

whipple, procharger or something custom.

My ProCharger kit was a CL find. They are out there but it takes patience to find that deal.
