Have you guys found that any of these G4 don't fit as well as OE? I was looking at a set of these on ebay but always worried the molds will have wierd gaps or not install cleanly.

Yes I replaced them with HIDs by cutting off the reverse incandescent bulb that came with the g4 led tail and spliced the H11 HID bulb into the same two wires. Color coded green and black wires matches up. I then soldered to insure it doesn't come undone any time soon. Check my album for a pic. My LED tails have no weird gaps in them. That would've been a dealbreaker for me.

For the record, I DID splice in resistors to my G3s. As everyone said, it wasn't difficult at all. Actually being able to do the work wasn't ever the concern -- it was more the idea that I'd use the wrong wires or something and kill the light altogether. So, thanks for the assistance.

I since bought some new G4s, and they're fast-blink free, knock on wood, so it's all good again. I COULD have a problem with the connector on my fast-blink G3 light, which I still need to look into. In the meantime, I'd back to LED rears again. Feels good!
