Anyone here add spacers to widen the Tahoe stance ?

Has anyone here added spacers to their 22” wheels to widen the front and rear end ? Probably can’t go too far on the front with having to chop the wheel well in the front but, wouldn’t it look dope to drop 4” and add 5” spacers ? Take corners at 60!

I saw that very thing on an old Crown Vic cop car set up for overlanding last week. I can see doing it to an old pos beater.

The stance of the front wheels are about 1 inch wider than the rear wheels, and this is by design to give the truck better riding stability. When I converted to the 305/50x20 tires, I noticed this (my front tires appeared to protrude ever so slightly and looked great), and I wanted to put 1/2" spacers on the rear wheels to bring them out to match the front wheels. I ultimately chose not to, as per the design specs of the truck.

Keep in mind that a lot of tire shops won't install or rotate tires, if there are wheel spacers on the truck for liability reasons.

I’m not going to do it to my truck **** no lol thing is there’s a lot of beemers and other trucks out here that drop their rides and make the tires stick out like a soar thumb. I am under the impression that mechanically it allows you to drive faster at corners and not roll but I’m probably wrong.

I just imagined a Tahoe lowered with a wide body kit! Along comes with the spacers to match

You will run into issues with the lug bolts. They will not be strong enough to extend that far out. Better off getting different wheels with the offset you're looking for.

Also if your tires stick out past the fenders and you happen to hit a k rail center divider on the highway, chances are you’ll drive right up it and flip your truck.
There’s a reason stadium trucks have their tires inside the fender. You want the fender to hit the wall, not the tire.

Just don't install an 8" wide tire on a 12" wide wheel and drive around on the sidewalls like everybody with a lowered mini truck did when I was in high school.

I ran 22x14s on 37s with 2” spacers all around and 1.5” wheel adaptors on top of those no issues Dailey drove it like that for months driving 6+ hr away one way on trips over rough rutted out roads hauling dump trailers and a bed full of material I’ve ran spacers for 10 years on every vehicle I’ve had and they all came from Amazon not expensive bora spacers you just gotta get decent equiptment and realistically it probably isn’t going to hold up in a Baja race but my home town street is about like a Baja track and I haven’t broke anything yet. Well actually I broke my duel shock hoops twice on both sides on that road but not the wheel spacers lol
