i thought about doing a massive full roof srt (sliding rag top) 2000$ installed and a 2 year warranty against leaks. its wider than a stock sunroof and like 84 inches long.

My Denali is fully loaded with just about every electronic gizmo I could think of, but no sunroof OR DVD player. Thought that was kind of strange, personally, given the overall luxury feel of it otherwise. If I had to choose, though, I'd take the DVD player any day...never really understood the hype of sunroofs. I've had them on other vehicles, and rarely used them for anything.

I think that is where you live though AK, I use mine constantly... whether it be to vent a fart, let heat out in the summer, provide some fresh air without getting windblasted at 70 mph, even just to let air circulate while keeping my cats out when it is parked in the garage or just to hear traffic during my commute. i haven't had a vehicle with a fixed roof and no sunroof since my very first personal car more than a decade and a half ago.

Yeah, I'm sure my location doesn't really help...lol. I had one actually leak on me pretty good because ice built up in the seal and warped it. When it melted it was never the same seal. I did live in San Diego for a few years, and I still didn't use my sun roof much. Got a really bad sunburn once when I did, though....lol. Just the back of my hand where the angle of the sun came through the opening. If it was really hot and I wanted to cool off, I used the A/C which was much cooler than the hot, dry outside air.

Mine came with a sunroof but if I didn't have one I doubt that I would have added one.

I was going to mention the same thing, I have always wanted to do that to something/anything. I would be cool on a hoe/kon to have the whole middle open.

Well I personally don't like the sun shining on me from the top so I never open mines. Thats y my truck is so tinted out. You should be able to do without it.
