Well ill let you no a secret. I have an 05 explorer and it sucks ass. I researched it after I bought it only to find out it has so many things that they cut corners on.... Older vehicles are built like rocks and I will probably never buy a new truck because everything is made cheaper. I don't know about import trucks but as I said I'd never get a new vehicle plus you really can't fix new cars since u need to take them to a computerized place to get the stuff read and tuned. I like to fix it myself if possible but hey its ur cash and wife lol

OK so talked the wife into keeping it and believe it or not the only reason she agreed is because you cant lock up boating gear in a pickup truck...he he he he. May take her a while to figure that one out since I confused her about pickup bed covers so Ill' be having the trans done before she figures it out. lol Now watch for more post cuz I have a ton of questions.

You can pimp one of these old things out for less than just buying a new rig.

As for your rear suspension being so stiff, it sounds like you tow enough to justify an airbag setup, either assist or (my preference) total air-ride. It's not the cheapest setup, but in the end, you'll have a truck that can tow all you want, but will ride like a Caddy when empty.

I say keep it.
