The hoes going through another overhaul this winter, ordered over 100square feet of dynamat to do the truck. Going to order some Dynapad just for the rear cargo area after i get everything done with the dynamat. Still currently upholstering the seats that im sure most of you saw. The headliner was done about a month ago, i did some black suede to match the seats. Installing a viper alarm while doing all this, the previous owner had a Hornet alarm in it and theres an assload of wires for the older systems. relays and shit, so its time consuming to take it all apart then rewire everything.

the FREE scissors that Harbor freight gives out is freaking awesome for cutting dynamat perfectly. No need to try and cut with a razor blade and all that crap.

But im debating how i can keep the subs to a down low appearance even with the factory cargo cover. i thinking of running 2 amps, one for the speakers and 1 for the subs.. placing the amps under the 2ndrow seats. Id then place a sub where the tire jack would go, and the other sub on the opposite side in the cargo compartment. hopefully i can fit 2 12s in there, im going to build a fiberglass shell inside of those panels.
heres some shots of progress

made some room for a sub on this side, i dont even carry my spare tire, why keep a jack in the truck?? haha

Used a spotweld bit to get this jack carry off.. then ground down the spotwelds then just shot it with some primer then rustoleum.

pictures are smaller then usually, just to cut down some dowloading time.

adam, when i did mine i got some "gymnastic mat," which was some closed cell foam kinda like ensolite, and put a layer down on top of the dynomat. got it from http://www.thefoamfactory.com ,
GR-0-25F Gymnastic Rubber - 48x96 - 1/4" 3 $18.99 $56.97
GR-0-125F Gymnastic Rubber - 48x96 - 1/8" 2 $10.99 $21.98
Shipping: Free Shipping: $0.00Sales Tax: $0.00-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Total: $78.95

anyhow, it's another layer of sound dampening, used the 1/4 inch on the floors and i think the 1/8 inch on the headliner. used some spray adhesive to put it on. just something to consider while you're at it. some good reading here...

Exactly why i havent done it yet. One dont feel like gutting my tahoe. Scared to see what it really looks like, since i got used and ive already found food, gum, etc...

I guess unless it reallly helps out with sound.

What? I know your truck was white. Looks like when you painted it orange, they painted it right. They Painted the jambs and all, unlike some that just paint the outside. So looks good until you open the doors. ha ha..

Goofy... lol... :Handshake:
