Did you finish hooking it up?
I've got a PPV that came with the two battery set up, but had the wires cut when they were taking it out of service. I'd like to potentially hook it back up, just so I have the extra just when needed?

Looking for wiring help

Dual battery setup works really well if you have a winch or something like that or, a lot of electrical stuff (stuff runs of the battery nowadays, not of the alternator, that one just charges and a battery is better at providing sudden demand). On my Jeep I use a dual setup with a 'separator', it charges both but the winch can only draw from the auxiliary one, while the rest of the car uses the main one.

I might do that for an electric cooler I have, I noticed twice, in embarrassing occurrences, that the electric cooler/fridge will drain a battery in 6=7 hours if the engine is not running, with a dual separated setup, both get charged, but only one could be drained flat

I think, more than likely PPV/SSV vehicles are set up that way too if needed.
