old cheap advance battery i refuse to spend that much money for an optima not worth it in my opinion. Never had a problem with it and i have had it 2-3 years

Everyone has a different experience. I had 2 red tops for 10+ years across 3 different vehicles, one sits in the garage as my jump box and it has been out of a vehicle for 3 years.

I have a yellow top now and minus having one shourt out and get replaced free, it has been amazing.

if you are running an insane system, i might recomend a deep cycle batter, or possibly adding a second battery.

I dont cheap it up on the battery myself... now i dont use optima either. Right now I have a duralast gold top, very nice battery and never have problems. However I think sears brand batteries are pretty nice and comes with a 5 year free replacment.
