Actually that was for blueflame but now that you mentioned more on yours then yes work your possible ignition switch wiring first.
ALso check your ecm-b fuse under hood for a dirty or bad connection. It provide line voltage to the fuel pump relay on the same fuse block. It would not hurt to look at its terminal as well.

In terms of the wiring do u mean taking the ignition switch out and checking that wiring? and for the fuse, I know where the fuse box is, never really looked in it before but is the fuse im looking for called ecm-b? cause I dont have the owners manual so I have no clue as to the layout, and the fuel pump one is next to that?

Back to the fuel pump, I had a Mustang and it had a bad fuel pump it wouldnt start on hills and sometimes you'd turn it off and it wouldn't start back up, if my fuel pump was bad wouldnt there be other symptoms cause i've had this truck for like 4 months and it hasn't gotten any worse its still the same, cause the only problem I might have is the check valve being bad but maybe its a wiring or fuse problem....thanks for the help

using the wiring diagram with color codes disconnect the switch harness and run continuity and resistance test to look for proper operation. inside the coverof the relay fuse block has a layout for you.

If your fuel pumpo was weak or a bad regulator you probably could not sustain full throttle from zero to highway speed very long. Monitoring fuel pressure with a gauge when idling and at engine shut off would help zero in on the problems.

By the way christmas present for you:

Thanks for the diagram/manual and the info, ya I dont have any of those problems so overall the fuel pump is fine I think cause all I get is the symptoms of the check valve being bad but might be a wiring or fuse problem, cause if the fuel pump was going in the 4 months or so that i've had the Tahoe id think it would get worse, I tuned it up too awhile back new ac-delco plugs, wires, cap and rotor, fuel filter and air filter thinking it needed a tune-up but still the same and you can even pump the gas and that really doesn't help it, for those few seconds it doesn't fire right up its turning but doesn't fire up........

I still recommend maybe looking into monitoring your fuel pressure when on, off, idle and at open throttle. Sometimes an insignificant problem can lead to big symptoms. It would tell alot on the performance of your fuel system. The more you the more accurate the diagnosis.

Checked the fuses they were all good, gonna pick up a new relay and try that and if that does nothing return it, gonna just have my buddy's shop look at it and have them troubleshoot it, ill report back when I do......

that or you can pick up a fuel pressure guage and check that yourself. really easy. think i paid $30 for mine.
