Even with the tune and a 2500 stall converter, I'd still swap in some 4:30 gears without hesitation if I had the funds.

The truck is definitely more powerful off the line and on the road, but I'd like more off the line and it still downshifts more than I'd like at highway speeds.

I was actually surprised to find that I have 3.73 gears. I thought they were taller by how it feels...

Cam it! Get a cam specced for mid rpm with a lower lsa and maybe a little advance. My truck has 3.42s and it runs like a ***** ape. I still have the stock 60 though so TM is still enabled.

And if so I assume you have to change valve springs and all that too?

Labor is pretty hefty on a cam swap. It depends on the cam if you need to change springs, but it would be wise to do so along with hardened pushrods. Ideally, the lifters should be replaced as well, which means that the heads have to come off. I had a bad lifter when I swapped my cam, so I took the opportunity to replace quite a few things, Knock sensors & harness, oil pump, water pump, timing set, gaskets, manifold bolts (2 were broken) and 4 more broke during removal. It also makes a difference if your doing the labor or paying for it. The cam and long tubes really woke my truck up. I added a CAI, and in the process of swapping to a TBSS intake manifold, and it will be set until I put a magnacharger on it.

The truck runs the way it should have all along. I wouldn't have done any of it if I wasn't planning on keeping the truck for years to come.

We sell those parts as well, perhaps the guys can get you a package deal???
That would be fine with me, except I already have the headers & exhaust sitting here.
I do wanna purchase the autocal asap though!

Thanks!
