I recently bent my back luggage rack (the piece that goes across the top of the vehicle over the rear tires). Has any one else had this happen or know how to fix the rack? I tried forcing the rack back into place, but it seems to be pretty sturdy metal that won’t budge. I found a replacement online, but I’m hoping to avoid paying $234 for it.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Can you add a picture? Have you checked any local wrecking yards?

junk yard or one of those u pull it yards.
easy to replace just have to take plastic caps off the end of the rail and use a star bit to remove the bolt and then you can just slide it off the end and slide a replacement on, put the bolt back in and the plastic cap back on done.
