For my broken LT fog lights, replacing them with LED's was a 30 minute job and cost ~ $20. LED lights bolted right into the housing for the factory fogs.

I ordered some 480 watt lights to replace the 36 watt ones, the 36 watt'ers are going under my rear bumper for backup lights.



(40) 12watt LED's in each light vs (12) 3watt LED's

I'll be able to see for miles!

Well I wouldn't call them "plug and play" but they're pretty darn simple. Pull out the old socket and bulb, cut the socket off leaving two bare wires. The LED's just have two bare wires as well.

Connect wires together , seal up with electrical tape (if I did it now I'd use shrink tubing but I didn't have a heat gun when I did mine) and then bolt them in. For added protection I put the wires inside split wire loom and taped that up as well.

I ended up using the bulb socket for the bolt that holds the lights in so I drilled a 3/16" hole to run the wires through. They've withstood a couple of Colorado winters and some mild off roading since then.

I think the whole process took me maybe a couple of hours but I work pretty slow.

ETA: You also have to remove the old reflector, I did that with a pair of snips.

Here's how i mounted mine. I don't use them much, but when I do, I don't notice them shaking/vibrating at all.

Iirc, I added spade connectors to the pigtails coming off the fogs, and plugged them into the factory plug and taped them up really good. It's been 1 1/2 yrs, and no problems yet.

Are they weather resistant I've heard these ones are sealed and I've heard there not I can't get a straight answer
