Btw goodinblack I'd say the belltech sp shocks are the word riding rear shocks I've ever felt on any car ever...
However they do ok in the front.

I've said this before but I wouldn't recommend this kit if you don't have autoride.

If you have autoride I'm sure it's great but if you have premium smooth ride this kit changes the from "premium smooth ride" to "ride"

On another note tho Tony is a wonderful guy and has always answered all my questions. Although sometimes I think he is more concerned with selling his product in the forums.

I really don't care people need to know.
Some moderator will come delete it probably.

Hey Modded.........

In your opinion, the BellTech SP are worse than the stock shocks?

Also, are the HD Bilsteins same as the stock Z-71 Tahoe / Suburban shocks?

And, Modded.......... The HD Bilsteins vs. the Bilstein 5100.......Which one did you like better and why?

Thanks.

Yes, the Belltech SP shocks rode worse than the stockers. All the other shocks I have ran (except the Monroe shocks) rode better than the SP shocks. That is odd because I typically side with Belltech products and quality.
As for a comparison b/w Z71 shocks and HDs, I can't tell you. I have not ran the Z71 shocks, or ever ridden in one, that's why. I am willing to bet the Bilstein does better in overall performance for the needs of a daily driver, than the Z71 stockers.
The HD Bilsteins vs. the 5100s is a hard decision. Mainly because I ran Pedders coils when I had them, and not the Belltech 5305 coils I currently have. I am inclined to say the HDs rode better though. But that could have been because I had 20s (and 24s a few months later) when I had the HDs and Pedders coils.
The HDs and 5100s perform very similarly. They both have stiffer compression and rebound valving so the rear axle keeps the tires on the road. I don't have that "jutter" like feel going over bumps on the road. My front end does still have slow rebound and jutter because I still have the SP shocks up front.
Overall, when it comes to a shock only comparison, I would have to say I like the HDs and 5100s equally. I feel like the perform very similarly, but the 5100 is able to do that at a lower ride height.

I also think Tony is a cool and competitive vendor (actually posts and tries to sell on the forum), but he does push sales a good amount.
Then again, I have mentioned it in the past and it may be making me look like I am just a hater (because few people tend to take the advice), so I don't really bother anymore unless I see a statement by him that is misleading, or just not blatantly false.

I agree, if you feel that strongly about something and think it might help others in their decision......you should speak up about it.

Nothing will ever be deleted for someone expressing their own opinion, unless it's blatantly bashing other members.
