Hello! Last week I had a “service side detection system” notification pop up and the blind spot monitors have since stopped working, I did get under the rear of the yukon and didn’t see dirt on the side detection modules or any issues with the harnesses (I cleaned them just in case). I’ve also noticed that lane keep assist does not work during the day anymore but only at night. I checked the front windshield camera and noticed that the black housing the camera sits in is crooked and about 2 inches off the windshield (got my windshield replaced about a month ago) .Could the blind spot not working and issues with LKA possibly be because of the crooked front camera and it not being fully on the windshield?

There may be other problems in play but I’d start with going back to the glass shop. Do you have access to a scan tool to look for codes?

I do but i don’t think it’s one of the ones that can scan the whole car. Its a $25 from auto zone.

The front camera is independent of the blind spot module. Front camera does the lane keeping and blind spot monitors do blind spot detection and cross path detection when backing up. The only common module they both talk to is the haptic seat. If that’s broken it could shut down both.

A agree need to scan the modules to see what code it’s throwing.

you might try looking at the harness connector on those claymores and see if there is any corrosion or signs of water intrusion and check the fuse box as well.

Try the scanner you have just to see. It may be something to consider buying a bidirectional scanner. I don’t think the ones the parts stores use go that deep either. @ReaperHWK point is a good one. Does your seat haptic work?
