So my HVAC is out again in my 2000 Yukon. Last time it was the resistor in the winter which i replaced with a rockauto part. When the resistor went out it was gradual and this time it just stopped working with a bit of burnt electric smell. The fuse wound up being blown so i replaced it and turned on the heat which blew the new fuse immediatly. So im thinking the blower motor itself is the problem this time as I dont see any chafed wires that could have caused a short. Any other ideas before I start throwing new parts at the Yukon?
