Blower won't turn off air always blowing out of vents?

I know that for the PPV Tahoe, to turn the air vents completely off you have to move the wheel all the way to the off position, and then hit the recirculation button. It works for me and the rest of the Officers out there. It doesn't make any sense to me, but it works.

Might as well give it a shot, never know.

You know this may be completely normal. Many many years ago you read about people sitting in their cars with the motor running getting overcome and dying from carbon monoxide poisoning. Then the auto manufacturers got together and found that by having the ventilation system run at a slow speed at all times it would save lives and that's what they did. I haven't paid it any mind recently but now I have to check.

You raise a fair point there. Also a lot healthier to circulate at least some fresh air into the cabin - helps keep you alert supposedly.
