I did...i did.

And I'm back from the family vacation and tomorrow night being time to spray done different colors...

Still have to find the thread where the guy wired up the stock Bose subwoofer to an aftermarket amplifier though.

Anyway, I decided that I needed to do a better break than just paint so I've been working on doing a groove that will hold some black paint once all is said and done.

I wound up running out of paint... damnit.

right now, a pillars need sprayed to match the lighter tan.

Horn needs sprayed dark brown.

Doors and side plastics need sprayed.

cleaned everything with mineral spirits, hit it with some adhesion promoter, then sprayed a ton of light coats of SEM Classic Coats. Currently waiting on another 4 cans of the dark brown and one can of the tan to show up to finish off the side and door panels.

Also need to sand the rubber stuff off the damned dash trim and tape off the wood grain... and grab another Denali door switch to paint.

Hopefully Friday.

I also might end up pulling the carpet again to dye it black. lol... just put the new console together and the balck and brown look REALLY good together.

Very nice , I thought about spraying my door panels while I had them off but then I'd have to continue the process on the inside and I wasn't about to open up that can of worms lol

I have used sem on seat trim pieces. Didn't use adhesion promoter but I sanded the plastic and thought that would be enough. Now it's chipping.lesson learned

If you don't use some kind of adhesion promoter on vinyl or plastic, it always peels. I wonder if you use dip on a plastic piece first and then paint that, if it'll last. Not anything that'll see any kind of wear tho.

Yep I know now lol. Luckily I only sprayed small pieces. I've heard you can paint dip but I have yet to try.

I wouldn't use dip unless you planned on it being temporary personally. It's not designed to be permanent.

However, I can see it being good since it will fill some small cuts and gouges in the plastics....

Only issue I have now is that there isn't anything to "touch up" areas that may need it once it's in the vehicle.

But I guess covering some of the areas and spraying in the vehicle wouldn't be terribly bad. *shrug*
