Hey guys, new to forum, hello! was wondering about the Borla XS Pro exhaust, my resonator is rotted out because my short drives to work in the winter, exhaust is fine but I wouldn't mind a nicer sounding one you know ;), probably going to remove the resonator, heard a lot about the Borla and the nice tone it gives, don't want anything too loud but a little oomph is good, anyone have experience of the Borla w/o resonator? is there anything else someone could recommend? I'm all about quality/tone, not monstrous sound/showing off
Also for the muffler, what size pipe should I get, offset and positioning of pipes on the exhaust

I started with the slp resonator delete. Sounded good outside but no differance inside. Then did the borla muffler and it still puts a tingle in my dingle. You need center in offset out and they can make 3" or 2.5" piping work at any muffler shop. I went 3". Welcome to the forum too. Lots of good info around here.

I'll try and find it if you don't before me but do a search on here. One of the members did a SLP resonater delete kit with the borla pro xs and it sounds amazing

that exhaust sounds amazing! sold me right there, probably going to do it in a couple of weeks, ill just order it online since its way cheaper and i'll do it myself at my shop, its pretty easy right? cut off pipe, attach exhaust, weld, boom sound! :party36:
Also, if i get the 3" would I lose back pressure? I'm considering getting more power but don't exactly know where to start

I seriously doubt you would lose any kind of back pressure due to the size of the muffler inlet. Certainly not to a point of altering where your power band is. If you think about it, the percent your exhaust system that you're actually changing is quite small.

Thatʻs my setup!!! It sounded great before the headers!!! Not raspy but deep growl and no drone. Now it sounds like a BEAST!!! LOL
