Hey guys
Ok I have a kenwood aftermarket HU and replaced all the bose crap, I also have 3 kicker 12s and 4 kicker 6x9s I have two amps in the back. the 4 6x9s are powered by one of the amps and the kicker door speakers I recently installed are going to the HU which also goes to the bose amp and subwoofer. I do have the harness for the door chimes and all behind the HU. But I am getting feedback only through the door speakers when volume is at 0 and I think it's bc of the bose amp. Is there anyway I can disable the amp or cut the power lead to the amp. I have looked under the console and seen the plug for the amp . I didn't want to have to rerun all new lines to each door. I want the HU to power the door speakers. Any help will be much appreciated thanks again

Ive been researching this a bit lately.
There are two different types of bose amps,
The premium Bose system has 3 plugs and is a "DUMB" amp. its a slave unit that does nothing more than amplify the signal. it does have a built in crossover that all the settings are set for. when the volume goes up past a certain point the amp turns power down to the sub to protect it . other than that the amp does nothing more. all your chimes , on-star, sensors, and whatnot are processed through your head unit. It has 9 speakers. Its option UQA

The luxury bose system has 4 plugs and is bigger, more powerful and is a smart amplifier . there is a bus data line that runs from the head unit to the amp. the amp does all the thinking and crossover points for the system. it takes care of all the chimes , sensors , blue tooth, on and on. so the amp is very important to the system. It has 10 speakers, the extra one is in a center channel speaker in the dash.
The luxery package came in all 07-14 Denalis, but was available only in 09-14 slt's or ltz's if they have rear seat entertainment option (rse) the 07-08's all had premium Bose regardless of rse or not.
option UQA Y91

So if you had the premium Bose amp, then yes you should be able to just disconnect it and have no problems

Thanks for the info, I didn't know there were 2 different kinds. Yeah I'm assuming mine is premium bose. I do have rear entertainment. By any chance do u know how to disconnect the bose amp. When I unplug the big plug under my center console that goes to the amp i lose all sound from door speakers

If your speakers are all wired into your new amp, and then to the head unit, bypassing the bose amp, then I'm not sure. I'll have to look into that

I have a 2014 LTZ with the same Bose system. On the interface (PAC RP5 GM32) it has 2 different available spots to plug in the wiring harness "Amplified system and non-amplified system)
I tried both plugs for the hell of it, it works thru either one but one input will be louder then the other depending on which one it's plugged into due to the fatory amp.
