Brake line leaking . 2002 chev suburban LT

Ok I have a rear line is leaking driver side . Brother was pulling trailer when it let go so brake light came on . what I'm wondering is best thing to get to bleed brakes as might have air in abs etc . What's the best thing to buy to bleed the brakes in the 2002 and then I have a 2006 Yukon xl that will have the same problems later.

That looks pretty sweet . Is there a video of anyone doing a 2000-2006 ? Replacing line and making sure bleeder work will be first thing that keep me busy .. Does Motive pressure bleeder have a GM kit ? If you bleed brake like this will force all air out of the ABS

Here’s the GM one. If you get air in the ABS you might need to use a Tech2 or there’s other ways, like driving and stomping on the brakes a few times. Do a google search on it. But you might be ok. Using the Motive is super easy, you don’t need a video.

I researched on amazon. Seems nice.

So, if you DON'T fill the container w/ brake fluid you just run it dry and keep checking reservoir and if low then release motive air pressure and top off reservoir and start again? So do this maybe 2x or so and ya got all 4 wheels done?

Seems like works like a fancy garden sprayer?

But ya can't see the fluid and air exit the bleeders if you are topside at the master cyl???

No.You fill the Motive with fluid, up to 2 quarts which is plenty to change all your fluid out. Make sure the master cylinder is at the full line. Then pump it up with the hand pump to iirc about 12 lbs. Follow the instructions, it has a max recommended pressure. Then all you have to do is put a clear hose on each bleeder, loosen them up, and watch the air bubbles until you get a full flow with no bubbles. Start at the RR, then LR, RF and finally LF. The Motive automatically refills the master cylinder. If the flow out of the bleeders slows you might have to give the Motive a few more pumps. That’s it. No helper or compressor needed, you can’t suck air back in like the vacuum methods, it’s so easy you won’t believe it. You might want to check the level in the Motive a couple times but I always put more in than I’ll need.

Some say that it leaks at the m. cylinder and they get brake fluid all over. Is this in certain situations w/ poor seal or....??? how can this be prevented other than using it dry and keep filling the reservoir?

For one thing, if there’s any leak then you need to use the right rubber washer for the cap on the MC, and there won’t be a leak, and if there’s a leak then it won’t stay pressurized so it’s not going to work right. If you follow the instructions, they say to first attach it to the MC and pump it up and check for leaks BEFORE you put brake fluid in the Motive. If air doesn’t leak, then fluid won’t leak. And I saw the review where the idiot said there’s 2 ways to use it, one of which is to top off the MC and don’t put fluid in the Motive, we’ll he is an idiot. That’s not how it’s designed, and why would you do that? Follow the instructions. Don’t be an idiot and you’ll be fine!

That is because they did not pay attention or were not mechanically inclined. I have the Motive bleeder, recommended to me by Rocket Man, and it works great. It's always easier to blame the tool than the operator.
