Brake problems

Hello, I have a 1999 Tahoe with the 5.7l. When I hit the brakes at a moderately slow speed, it gets kind of tough and it pulsates as I depress the pedal. It usually does it if I turn the wheel a little bit. Also, there is kind of a whirring noise coming from the front as it's happening. My friend mentioned it might be the abs module, so I took out the fuse for the abs and it didn't do it. I'd like to know if anyone had any insight about this before I fork up the money for a new unit.

Does sound like the ABS module. Check the front wheel bearings for any play in them to.

You we're right, changed the hubs and it's fixed, thanks for the help!!

Yeah, I bought a set of rotors, pads and the hubs from 1a auto for like $175, highly recommend it.
Now on to the exhaust and lift, oh boy.. lol
