I had to get my battery jumped about a week ago and ever since, there is a "(!) BRAKES" light that is on and chiming and annoying the hell out of me.

It shouldn't have anything to do with the brakes, right? Its pretty obvious that the battery dying caused the thing to go on.

Any idea how to get it to go off, w/o taking it to a dealer?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Had the same thing happen, what I did was remove the negative battery cable for about 10 minutes, after the 10 minutes reconnected, and all was normal again...

I just tried that and it didn't work. I'm gonna unclip both of them and let em set a bit longer unclipped... hopefull that works!

That didn't work..Thanks for the help though. I also noticed something leaking, so I'm a little concerned now.

Made an appointment at the dealership for Friday...I'm toast!
