or peeling paint.

Brake conversions can cost about $1000 for a ready made kit.

Damn! I found one for $600 bu I can't remember where and I will try to lok in those places but we think it's like a part that goes in the drum because my dads truck leaked everything out because that part broke and the mechanic piped a new one in and no problems. We hate nessin with drum brakes tho because they are a pita and we get pissed very quickly so I might just take it to the shop. That part cost my dad like $60 for parts and labor tho so hopefully that's it :)

out of curiosity, why are you looking into a rear brake conversion kit? If it's for visual improvement, rear disks look much better then drums. But if it's for pure stopping power, there are conversions (hydroboost) that will give you a much better bang for your buck.

Your front brakes are doing most of the stopping, so I would put my $$ into improving those before the rears.

Well we hate working on drum brakes and I is easier to work on disks. What does the hydroboos look like and what's the price range from? Do you keep the drum setup? I can't see my brakes with the rims I have anyway so I just want them for the Easter to fix when the pads wear out or if I need to tighten the brakes a bit

unknown at this time.
you keep the rear setup normally. Th Hydra-boost setup uses hydraulic power from power steering pump to operate with greater brake force. If you can get junkyard parts in good condition it might only cost you several hundred. new store parts will be higher but still less then a thousand for sure.

I write up someone did on a '04 truck will give you an idea what is involved here.

Basically all the good trucks just go to Dallas instead of my local junkyards. I might be able to find some parts but i may do this later on but for now I shall go and get my ac compressor and see when I can take it to go and get put in and checkEd to see if it just will need freon. I can do all this but my dad wants to go so owell. Also do you have the hydra boost on your truck?

No need to overspend on big names...

say this time and time again

all you had to do is hit the SEARCH button

Ebay seller in Canada sells SS brake lines for out truck offer him $50

Ebay has Cross Drilled and Slotted Rotors with Ceramic pads for like $115-$130

They work fine, both of those combined stop 22's with ease.
