One thing to factor in is the ongoing cost of replacement pads. The CTS-V ones are $75, and stocked at my local car parts place. How much are they for Wilwood and Brembo? And how long to they take to get?

That kit is for 15> unfortunately. It’s due to the offset of the brake carrier to the disc. There’s a clone kit made by CTSV.com. They make the adapter for using Brembo C6 ZR1 calipers with the rotors in the kit you referenced.

I pieced the parts together for $1.4K last year and have yet to install it. You’ll need 20” rims min. The discs are huge at 16”

This kit is probably best for part availability and future maintenance definitely going to look into this more.

Order the rotors early. They were the most difficult to get due to high demand and Covid slow downs in manufacturing.

Wilwoods FTW, I have also found them to be lighter then the Brembos too.

Less unsprung weight is good!
I second the Wilwoods. Imo the best for the price, I have their 16”/ 14” rotors on both my trucks.

Last time I priced it, the Centric rotors were finally back in stock but the whole kit all in was still far too much in my opinion to be worth it over the Wilwood or Brembo kits.

Pretty sure that’s for the 14.5” rotor version, not the 16” rotor version. The cheapest I found the 16” version was $2k.

I thought you were talking about Wilwoods. You got a good deal on the rotors and calipers. The calipers especially are much higher than that now. The other thing that raised the cost for me is I would only use the OEM Brembo pads to get the best performance but either way they ought to stop better than the stock 2 pistons. I pulled the trigger on the GM Brembo kit.

Is the corvette logo cast into the caliper? I'd want the caliper to be plain.

That $994 price on the calipers is crazy. They are selling on eBay for $1200/pair and up right now.
