Check gauges comes on if oil pressure drops below 20psi... Check oil level... If its only knocking up top you might be safe but the light is def on from low oil pressure, it should run between 40 and 60 on your dash

Yea sorry. I'm mobile and keep getting auto corrected. Check gauge light. Haven't moved her since new oil pump. Hasn't been primed as far as I know. Think its time to for a mechanic and start over. Not. Sure how a TuneUp ended in knocking and new oil pump. From what I do know everything is new on the truck as of lately. Bought with 113 *** on original motor. Dual exhaust, and 24 inch rims on it. Oil change every 3k and was told that it only had a spark plug misfire. By previous owners. This is my 1st Tahoe and I keep her up pretty good. Thanks for the help.

Why did you replace the pump in the first place?

Did you prime the pump? If you didn't it wasn't pumping oil, the bearing surfaces started to heat up, and now you have a engine knock.

You might get lucky and you can throw new bearings in it if the crank is alright, but I doubt it.

It really sounds to me like it wasn't primed or there was some sort of blockage, cuzz it sounds like you were running dry to me, hope you get this figured out bro looking forward to hearing the issue.
