Okay so my truck had a hands free kit installed in a horrible way. Prior to uninstallation, everything in my truck worked flawlessly. I took it all out and my door chimes, blinker sounds, key reminder, radio, and rear controls on the back of the center console all stopped working. Is there some kind of fuse or relay that controls all of this or is there a deeper wiring issue at hand? I want to bring it to the dealership but I know they will somehow blame my stereo for the problem. Any help?

Well the sounds, are played through the speakers. Did you reinstall the old radio? It’s possible you may have not reconnected the harness connector properly or may have left a ground off. You’re going to have to retrace what you did.

i already have some ideas as all the things you mentioned all run through one circuit. i need more information for the moment tho. at this moment what is in the truck. is it an aftermarket radio or the original radio. most vehicles nowadays have multiple kits based on what level of radio package you have. lastly what do you mean by installed in a horrible way? if someone did a straight hack job wiring in the previous kit and you tried to undo it well sometimes untangling knots you just end up with a tighter knot.

I know one of the kits that adds hands free link to those model GM vehicles removes at the on star or XM system If you took that kit out without putting the on star or XM Box back in that could also cause some problems Also depending on what level audio system your vehicle has 8 requires the right metric kit if you installed and after market radio There is a special metric kit that ties in all the extra chimes and warnings through the Metra Box If I recall there is also a metro Box that is supposed to Loop those chimes back through the radio But at the same time the Box has its own speaker so you end up with dual chimes

Ignore grammar errors and odd words I hope you can read my response I'm on my way to work and I was using voice to text on my phone

The kit that was installed was the Parrot CK3100. I would have a basic understanding of what happened if it was just the sounds that stopped working but I lost power to the factory radio and the rear heater controls. That's the part that's really throwing me off

i found that kit but im having trouble finding a harness kit that would have made that work as its apparently discontinued. as for the issue with things other than radio related not working gm likes to run alot of useless crap through the factory radio to be difficult. that or they like to leg off the power feed for the radio for everything else.
