burning tranny fluid and a cel

why am i all of a sudden burning tranny fluid, i have no leaks yet in the last couple weeks i have dropped off the dip stick for fluid level, is this a common problem? the temprature here has increased and it is my first time drivining my yuk is plus temps so im wondering if i bought a problem or if it is something simple like a dirty tranny kooler. the reason i checked the fluid level is because i have a CEL, i do not have a code checker and being easter weekend i thought i would check stuff i could, would low tranny fluid throw a CEL? also any recomendations for additive i am thinking of going with Lucas

i was noticing a slight slip that is why i checked it but other than that it is running perfect
