So I see a few guys here whose trucks were bought back due to various issues. Can someone explain to me the money side of it.
This is what I know.
1. Truck sticker price was 70 grand
2. Truck was actually bought for say 60 grand after discounts.
3. Truck will now be bought back so customer pays for miles drove. Lets say 10000 miles at .50 cents per mile.
4. So owner pays 5 grand.
What from there. . .
5 grand comes off the 70 grand? So the person gets 60 grand towards a new truck?
5 grand comes off what they actually paid, 60 grand? So the person gets 55 towards new truck?
So then does the person pay sticker for the new truck or do they still get discounts and then the money comes off that price?
I was just wondering. I know they won't go there for my truck, but i know truck assistance towards a new one is being thrown around. I just want to understand everything so i don't get smoked.
I still owe some on my truck. Not a lot but i owe money. I have 30,000 miles on my truck also.
Thanks guys,
jim
