Cam grinds

I'm looking at cams for my 5.3 but I'm totally confused on the term "grind". I'm only looking for a mildly aggressive lope to go along with my soon-to-be-bought CAI and exhaust system.

Also, I plan to do a LQ4 swap sometime this year, so will the cam from the 5.3 work in the LQ4?

Contact Comp Cams and tell them what you want and what you use your truck for. Also mention that you will be swapping motors.

I'm on their website right now looking around so I can sound somewhat intelligent about what I'm looking for, haha. I'll be sure to give them a shout tomorrow.


The good thing is that I don't plan to tow or haul (other than people to and from the bar).

You can do research till you're blue in the face. I pretty much did. Then I contacted them and went with their choice and was very happy with the results.
