Can a Rack & Pinion setup be adapted into NBS?

only 2wd nbs silverado 1500's have rack and pinion. and not all of them did as some of the 2wd silvy's had torsion bars. no nbs suv should have rack and pinion.

the rack and pinion may only be 270 but there is a lot more to go into it than just that. better off just keeping the normal steering and replacing worn out parts.

but if you feel capable to make that work, by all means please do and show us how.

The 2wd don't have the front diff in the way. now if you have a 2wd I would take some measurements to see if you have the space to build the mounts for the rack. it could be as simple as some threaded round stock welded to the front crossmember. I have seen on the mustang II rack where they bore 2 holes through the crossmember, slide in the round stock and weld it front and back. and that is how they mount the rack, 2 bolts.
