I have a 2008 Tahoe LTZ, 5.3 which has a slight flutter/rattle in the front end.
When I fist heard it, it sound just like a warn stabilizer link/bushing.
They looked pretty rough so I changed them out.
The noise went away for about a day and it came back.
I was a bit puzzled so I jacked the truck up again and checked and re checked everything again.
Nothing seemed loose. I dropped the truck and again, the noise went away for about a day and came back. It seems like every time I jack up the truck and let the suspension hand, the noise goes away for a day then comes back.
The driver side upper and lower balls joints had some play, but nothing that would create the noise I'm hearing. I swapped them out for new ones anyways.
Im gonna do the passenger side tomorrow, only because I have the parts on hand, but not because I think it's gonna fix the noise.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
