You're pretty much spot on. I know a couple guys with Cobalts and Ion Redlines that converted over for racing purposes. They say the same thing you did.

Ethanol just doesn't produce the same energy as gasoline. It's as simple as that. I wish they'd get it out of the gas. No more E10. I want E0. Not only has corn driven up the cost of gas, but it's done it to everything else too.

You guys do realize that most of the E85 refineries are owned by farmers right? The stuff could be made really cheaply and actually be a good alternative except when you take a group of farmers that produce corn on their farm and then set the prices to sell to their refinery. They sell corn high to the refinery, to increase the profit on their farm, which then raises what it costs to produce the E85 so they really are not losing on that front either. They can also control the yields and amount of crop planted. The other trickle effect is yes corn prices are going to increase across the board as you cannot raises prices in one sector and not another.

Just a little food for thought.

Haha corn, food for thought....get it....good point though derek. Wish we could all do that for ourselves. Raise the price of one so your main source goes up too.

You can and here is your 5 step program....

1. Join forces with with others with the similar interests
2. Start a business that is dependent on the product you sell
3. Over charge said business for the product you sell
4. Raise price of final product due to material costs
5. Profit.
