I was in your same position when I bought my truck. It was the season, and my delivery came in right before my interstate trip towing my 5500 lb race car. The market was crazy, and i was lucky to get a 3.0 diesel. I considered going on the trip with my suburban and just trading when I got back, which was within the week. The market was nuts and salesman told me they could have sold the truck 5 times the day it landed. I drove across the state and did the deal that day. Was nervous someone would offer over sticker and I would be screwed. Problem was I was leaving in 3 days and now had no suburban and a new truck with 150 miles on it. I figured I may be keeping this truck longer than expected and just wasnt going to screw it up. I rented a truck to tow up to Virginia.! Only person going to deal with a mistake was me, and it wasnt worth it on such an expensive truck. No regrets. Broke it in correctly did diff fluid, oil change and now have 12K on her with not one issue.
