Brake Lights and Backup Lights don't work?

Just purchased a 2005 Tahoe and realized the brake lights and backup lights do not work. The 3rd, top, brake light does not work either. The tail lights and turn signals work fine as well as the flashers flashing the turn signals.
Checked all fuses and bulbs and are ok.
There is power to the orange wire on brake switch and the white wire on the switch lights my tester when I depress the pedal.

Any suggestions?

Can you test to see if you get power at the brake light bulbs when you press the brake and at reverse bulb when in reverse?

Yes checked all.

Could it be the brake switch? Would a bad brake switch cause the backup lamps to not work?
But the white wire on the switch does light up on the tester when the pedal is depressed.

Do you have the correct dual filament bulbs in the bulb sockets? I believe they're 3157.

Yes have correct bulbs. But seems I am not getting power to the bulbs.
I'm now going to check the plug in sockets above the tailpipe.

Yeah I would check all the connections. Must be a break in the line somewhere.

There is no power to the brake or backup lights at the junction above the tailpipe.

Hope I'm not beating a dead horse but sometimes a bad fuse can look like it's good.
