I bought a complete molded set. In some areas it is not tight and snug as I'd like. It fits ok and is not better quality than the oem carpet. What do I need to do to get a tighter fit? Do I need glue? I don't have a clue when it comes to carpet, but I refuse to pay $500 plus to a shop.

I want it tighter in this area around the humps

I have installed the non oem carpet a few times in trucks and it never fits just right. When I needed it to fit a curve or something, I used a blowdryer and just kept forming it with my hands.

If you ever do it again, put it out in the sun for a couple hrs, it will remove most wrinkles and helps it form a lot better in my opinion.

I have a heat gun. I haven't went past what you see in the pics. I'm starting to see that some of the trim pieces will push some the carpet down more snug. So is glue not necessary?

I have never used glue, but if you dont plan to pull it back up, I dont see why it would hurt. Just some 3M adhesive spray, nothing too serious.

Becareful with a heat gun since it gets much hotter than a blowdryer would.

Use a sweeping motion about 10" away on the bottom of the carpet if you are using a heat gun. most of them go past 500 degrees which is more than enough to melt stuff. I used a heat gun on the carpets on my GOAT when I replaced them.
