Cat back flowmaster system

has anyone ever put a flowmaster catback PICK UP system on their hoe? I want the dual side exit, but flowmaster doesnt make a kit for the tahoes, only the k1500 pickups. Somebody school me on this PLEASE.

unless you like the tips, the exhaust is 3" or dual 2.5" out already, IMHO, just replace the muffler for 1/16th the cost. If you want duals, you may be cheaper to just have it done.

First one is the 2 dr and the second is the 4dr.. years 96-99 hope this help.. they are both cat back systems.....

I am currently running true dual with flowmaster 40 series, oem cats with gibson headers.....

Ive looked at those kits... im looking for the dual side exit though... one pipe on each side. Ive took the truck to a bunch of places here in jersey and the cheapest quote i got for dual tailpipes if i already had the muffler installed is about 400 bucks alone! yikes! and blueflamed03- my truck has the dual flanged cat so it is already dual exhaust to the muffler, im just having a hard time figuring out how to get a dual side exit system. Flowmaster makes one for the pickups, im just wondering if anyone knows if they will fit the tahoes... im assuming the k1500 pickups and the tahoes share the same frame in 1997.

does it go from two manifolds, to one pipe, into cat, then dual out?

It goes from two manifolds, stays two 2" pipes with two separate cats all the way into the muffler (there is a flange after the cats to separate the front half of the exhaust from the back half im guessing for ease of removal, but it still stays 2 pipes). Then it exits the muffler as one 3" tailpipe.

What i want to do is to take the back half of the exhaust off and get an intermediate pipe that merges the two pipes into one, or keep the dual intermediate pipes and run two mufflers.

Either way, what i am looking for is one pipe coming out on the left behind the wheel, and one pipe on the right. I would piece it together myself, but that is too many pieces, and too much clamping and or welding.

Sorry if it seems confusing. :/

i have seen people on here with flows, but i dont get how.
my 99 yuk has dual in, single outs. but flow does not make 40's for these trucks. so how did you guys do it?

They probably got a custom job from a muffler shop. Go ask a shop and ask how much the job would be.

Thats what i have done to mine. I cut muffy and Smiley (Local Muffin Man) put 2 flows in standing up beside each other then ran duals out the sides with tips.
BTW dont do it ! NO LOW END power, it cuts it down a good bit. At least on mine it did. I drove it down the road and turned around for him to take it off, but he didnt have time so i just lived with it. I like it now, but still no low end. Also cost me $120, cya

I just had it done dual in dual out for 150 they added muffler and one tailpipe with echo tips
