all i can say about the difference in an older vehicle youve paid off vs a new vehicle yer making payments on
is maintenance or repair bills only come up once and awhile sometimes for along while but car payments come up once a month

Here are pics of the rust areas. All have been addressed in the past for ~$300 total, about a yr ago. Now that's coming back I am debating on what to do. All the above maintenance and repairs have been performed over a year period, not at once.

Again, thanks for everyone's input. Def agree that occasional repairs beat a monthly payment.

Pictures of the rust? It may be fairly cheap to have it cut out, replaced and have the paint blended.n

See attached pics above and let me know what you think.

Keep it, I have no doubt it'll get you to 200k and beyond. Have you deleted AFM yet?

Have not deleted afm. Do must people do that as preventive and am I running a huge risk of the lifters failing if I don't do it?

I do make sure to change oil frequently, no more than 3k miles, use Mobil 1 5w30, and have only noticed minor oil consumption on long trips.

The hood is not really a issue, as it can be replaced and painted to match.

Around the fender wells, those look to be in the early stages still. I figured it was way worse reading your post. Those should be a easy fix. Has the truck been painted to your knowledge?

The hood, they can fix the front and feather and blend to match without having to paint the entire hood, which depending on the condition, it may be cheaper to buy another hood and have it paint matched.
