Hey guys,
The check engine codes and warning messages on my 2005 Tahoe are driving me nuts.
It all started about a month ago when it lit the check engine light. Had it scanned it said it was the Canister Purge Solenoid (up on the intake manifold), bought one, installed it, light went off for about 2 days than came back on. then it gave me a whole slit of possibilities. One was the purge canister device (can't remember the exact name) that mounts back on the vapor box in front of the rear axle. that's easy to swap, so I bought a new AC Delco unit. Light stayed on. My wife said a couple of days later she got the error message that the gas cap was loose. I bought a new one last week, haven't seen the error message, but the light's still on.
this is driving me nuts.
Any suggestions without me buying everything on the list?
