Maybe this. I know it does not apply to 1999 from a factory done PS pump but perhaps it might have happened later if pump was changed.

So other parts besides the belt, and tensioner were changed, or was it only those 2 parts?... knowing this def. helps narrow down the suspect.
Sunlit's post about the pully misalignment is gr8 info.... I'll have to keep it in mind when mine's gotta be done.

Just curious if you replaced the crank pulley along with the harmonic balancer? Is it still wobbling? I've had an intermittent squeak/chirping on my '99 Tahoe for the past couple months that recently became pretty constant. I replaced the tensioner, idler pulley, and belt but it was still there. Thought it was a bad bearing in the alternator but guy at the rebuilders said it wasn't. When looking at it we noticed the crank pulley was wobbling slightly, which might be causing the belt to squeak. I took the pulley off, cleaned the grooves, and looked it over and it didn't appear to be out of round. I did some research and found that the problem might be the harmonic balancer. Since my truck has 140k on it I decided to replace the balancer for $40. Noise is still there...and my next move is to replace the crank pulley but I have to order it. If that doesn't fix the wobble I'm worried the crankshaft might be the issue. Were you able to get your noise fixed, and do you have any other info on what to look at next? Thanks
