How is having a vehicle that isn't in compliance with an ordinance, and it being taken, unlawful seizure? Law is broken, it is retrieved. Sounds lawful to me.

Then any/every private collection of unregistered cars that may be in that city can be ticketed too. Besides, I'm willing to guess you haven't looked at the Michigan or Flint Township laws. I have. Based on that info, I believe this is bogus. Again, in many areas, including Flint, a vehicle doesn't need to be registered unless it is, or is going to be, operated on public roadways.

Since you're in Virginia let me give you a Virginia specific example. A farm can own and use trucks for the purpose of functions on the farm. It does not need to be registered because it is used on private property only and doesn't see the public roadways. I can even give specifics, such as farm name and location if you'd like.

Gzes....I'm willing to bet you shoot a "warning shot" to a law enforcement officer you won't have time to get that second shot off before you're fired upon. You're point of view on this discussion is skewed.

A smart cop wouldn't even try. He'd run to his car and call for back up first. So, I say Gzes gets the second shot off if the cop is stupid, otherwise 1 was sufficient to start his next career in a jail.

Not quite sure when I moved to Virginia. Whereabouts am I? :)

Having a private collection inside a garage is a little different than a broken down car in a driveway in view of the public.

1 warning shot is enough most of them time to get anybody out. If they stay its their fault and a police can call for backup but with survailence system you can prove they tresspassed and then you can sue the department if they try to take u down for trying to forcefully enter a private property without a judge written search and seizure warrent. but im kinda tired of arguing so im sure i wont and dont want to change opinions because in different places people think differently but well thats my opinion and law on my area. Im gonna call it a night. Night

Not quite sure when use of lethal force constitutes a warning shot. I think someone needs to read up on firearm use. G'nite.

Taking "warning shot's" at LEO's doing their job. Sounds like a fawking intelligent idea...

Hope you'd enjoy getting pounded by Big Bubba in prison after taking some "warning shot's" at an officer. Because that's the only place you'll end up after that happens.

Sorry, I must heaver confused you with another guy.

I didn't say anything about the collection being in a garage. I've seen collections during outside before.

Regardless, I think this is really starting to get silly now.

Are they doing their job when they trespass and don't have a warrant or are attempting to arrest somebody they were pursuing who may have fled to that general area?

I always thought a police officers job included abiding by the law, not violating it.

No one lives next door to me !!!
It was not an eye sore to any one. from the street all U could see was the back of a normal truck

Thing is I'm not in a city, I live at the end of a dead end street, no neighbors on either side, or across from me, or behind me, just woods!!!, closest one is, friend, others are 1/8 mile away.

Also
Pretty sure, What caught the cops attention was another car, that I was going to get rid of, and I did get rid of, It had no plate on it, I had it backed in before but used it to go get parts one day and didn't back it in so there it was plane as day with no plate, so I assume the cop then looked at the front of the Hoe.

They switched code enforcement job to the cops, here recently.
The law says they can do what they are doing, so I will comply and be done with it, and get them off my asss
