1) heater hose just goes over loop and is held by spring tension you DO NOT juse zip ties. Also you only need to cover one op (sorry cant see what you did on the springs on my phone)

2) all the coil springs rub on the progressive spring portion to touch and over 13 years no issues LIke i said i only had to do 1 in that long period of time. you have monthing to worry about there. solid steel wont rust thru and i have guys that in colorado same springs never a rusting out issue

3) ive lowered tons of HYBRIDs with the same springs never once had a issue like yours. The springs sent are the higher spring rate suburban ones

1 why only cover one when multiple loops are showing paint scuffs? Why not zip ties? How else will they be secure enough to stay on there?

2 ok so Im reading that even the Colorado guys with scuffing paint springs like mine have no rust issues whatsoever with these same bell tech springs? Can't call that sound engineering/design but so long as it is safe and reliable today and many years of happy driving down the road sounds good.

3 it is happening to my otherwise stock 2013 hybrid. I didn't buy some special military grade, armored version. Heck I don't even run it with the third row. How do I verify I got the stiffer suburban springs?

Thank you!

its a progressive spring once the weight is on them it doesnt move the only part if making noise is the loop where you can start to see actual space between the coils.

2) yet again like i said its a progressive spring they touch

3) i ordered the right spring as I have been on the hybrids ive done for years.

4) ONLY run the heater hose on the loop where you see space between the springs when its loaded. so about 1/2 loop before you see the space to 3/4 loop after the space starts.

Tony has tried his best to help me so ill help him.
That's the bell tech spring.
The plastic thing is a one inch spacer.
The thin thing below it is the isolater and there should be another one on the top of the coil.

So in the above picture just to clarify... is the rubber isolator on the bottom supposed to be under the spacer (as depicted) or on top of the spacer under the spring?

no when running the 1 inch spacers you dont need the isolator on the bottom. you will just run it on the top.

When I go over a speed bump, not a nice sloped one, but almost like a curb one where you get good compression, my rear end makes a metal "clack" noise after the speed bump when the rear end compresses.

I've got the Belltech 2" lowering springs + Belltech struts. Just wanted to field the crew in case you guys went thru something similar. Save me some time/energy. Thanks!

Did you get the issue fixed?

Cool. I'll double check mine and make sure I have the isolator between the spacer and the coil.
