Hey guys, I just bought my wife a 2007 LTZ about 3 weeks ago. It has 76,000 miles on it and is in very good condition. However, at slow speeds like turning in a parking lot, you can hear a clunking sound coming from the steering column. It sounds just like my 2001 Suburban did before I had to grease the intermediate shaft. I know the 2007 has a different shaft that can't be greased. If I open the hood and pull on the intermediate shaft it has a good deal of play in it. Has anyone else had an issue with this? I have searched everywhere before asking and I can find a bunch of info on the 2000-2006 with this issue, but not with the 2007+.
